In this one-day workshop, you’ll learn how to process landscapes to achieve great landscape photos. Two methods of processing will be discussed: fast processing, for high results in a short time, and in-depth processing. You will be able to quickly process those shots that don’t need a lot of detail and learn how to work with LAB space to get great results without “noise” in the photo. As a bonus, you will learn how to work with specific areas of the image and understand what needs to be edited and what is best left “as is”. In this MC, you’ll be able to take your processing to a higher level very quickly.
What we’ll do:
At the beginning of the lesson, we’ll give you a source for processing. At the end of the lesson you will get your finished processed photos!
You will process two landscape photos that the instructor will give you. The first part will focus on quick processing through the curves and hue/saturation tools. The second part will work with LAB space and curve masks.
What you will learn:
process any kind of landscapes
understand where and what you need to correct
work quickly or vice versa, with attention to detail
manage curves
work with LAB space
Who is suitable for:
Who loves shooting landscapes, but the finished photos are far from perfect
who lack basic skills
if you want to reach a higher quality level
have trouble understanding what is behind what in processing
if you want to find fast or on the contrary more thoughtful and more accurate solution in processing photos
The program of the master class:
1 stage
Quick retouching. Landscape correction with the help of curves and the tool “color tone/saturation”.
2 stage
Deep processing. “Revealing” the sky, how to achieve the right color and smooth transition.
Step 3.
Separating colors in the picture. Adding sharpening with several options, comparison.
Step 4.
Working with LAB Space in the picture. “Coloring” the photo through curve masks.
